'Nothing should be administered to him without my consent': Sonam Wangchuk's wife Gitanjali Angmo after police shift activist to hospital
New Delhi/IBNS, July 18 -- Sonam Wangchuk's wife, Gitanjali J. Angmo, on Saturday said no medical treatment should be administered to the activist without her consent, hours after he was removed by police from New Delhi's Jantar Mantar, where he had been on a hunger strike since June 28.
Angmo reached Safdarjung Hospital, where Wangchuk has been admitted following his removal from the protest site.
She said Wangchuk's family and the doctors who have been monitoring his health should be consulted before any treatment is administered.
Wangchuk's removal from the protest site and subsequent hospitalisation came days after the Delhi High Court directed the Centre to ensure the activist's health.
