India, Aug. 24 -- Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Dinesh Trivedi on Monday called for stronger business-to-business ties between the two neighbouring countries, saying India and Bangladesh must work together to ensure peace and prosperity for future generations.

"Nobody is big and nobody is small. We are all equals, and we have to work on that footing," the Indian envoy said.

He also stressed the need for both countries to focus on peace and economic prosperity for younger generations.

Trivedi recently met Rahman in Dhaka as India-Bangladesh relations continue to face challenges.
