'Lake America' or Lake Ontario? Trump's name change triggers Canada-US row
India, Aug. 28 -- US President Donald Trump has signed an executive order seeking to rename Lake Ontario as 'Lake America', a move that could further escalate tensions between the United States and Canada.
The development comes amid worsening trade ties between the two neighbours following the recent collapse of negotiations.
After the talks failed to produce an agreement, the US imposed new 50% tariffs on $20 billion (C$28 billion) worth of Canadian goods.
