India, April 1 -- Dakota Johnson revealed how a simple act of courtesy once cost her a role, recalling an audition experience where her manners were misinterpreted.
Speaking in an interview with Hits Radio, Johnson narrated how greeting people politely ended up working against her.
Without naming the film, Johnson recounted walking into an audition room where she introduced herself and shook hands with those present as a gesture of courtesy.
However, she later learned that her behaviour did not go down well with the panel.
Johnson shared the anecdote while promoting the UK release of her film Splitsville.
