Noida/IBNS, Sept. 24 -- The First Information Report (FIR) related to the deadly Noida bus fire has revealed that the driver and conductor allegedly refused to stop smoking inside the bus despite passengers' appeals after they sensed a burning smell minutes before the blaze, media reports said.

According to the FIR, passengers had objected to the driver and conductor smoking inside the bus, but their pleas allegedly went unheeded.

The driver and conductor reportedly said they often encountered such smells before the front portion of the bus erupted in flames.
