Kolkata/IBNS, May 15 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari on Friday said his immediate predecessor Mamata Banerjee or any other minister could come under the scanner as part of the probe into the alleged mishandling of the RG Kar rape-murder case.

Adhikari made the remarks while suspending three IPS officers, including former Kolkata Police Commissioner Vineet Goyal, in connection with the alleged mishandling of the case and accusations of offering money to the victim's family.

Addressing a press conference at Nabanna, Adhikari alleged that two police officers had offered money to the victim's family on behalf of the then state government.
