India, Aug. 31 -- A 16-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped inside a sleeper bus in Delhi's Kashmere Gate area after she was offered a lift to Noida, according to media reports.

Police have arrested the bus driver and conductor in connection with the alleged incident and seized the vehicle. The bus has been sent for forensic examination.

According to India Today, the girl, a Class 11 student from Mainpuri district, had left home without informing her family and was travelling to Noida to visit her cousin.

The driver, identified as Kuldeep, and the conductor reportedly signalled to her to board the vehicle and told her it was headed towards Noida Sector 63.
