Mumbai/IBNS, Oct. 22 -- Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor has apologised for his slip of the tongue at a Dussehra event in Kolkata after his remark went viral on social media.

Ranbir attended the event on Tuesday alongside West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari.

The actor was also accompanied by his co-star from Ramayana: Part 1, as he made a promotional appearance ahead of the film's release.

While addressing the gathering, Ranbir spoke about the triumph of good over evil but mistakenly used the word "ant" (end) instead of "jeet" (victory).
