India, June 11 -- The United States has admitted firing two Hellfire missiles at a tanker carrying Indian crew members off the coast of Oman, marking the third attack involving Indian seafarers in the Gulf this week and prompting a strong protest from New Delhi.

In a post on X, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) said it targeted the Guinea-Bissau-flagged tanker MT Jalveer after the vessel allegedly ignored repeated instructions from American forces.
