India, Aug. 15 -- US-based WeWork Inc yesterday offloaded WeWork India shares worth Rs.244.1 Cr via multiple open-market transactions.

As per BSE data, WeWork Inc sold 35 Lakh shares, or 2.53% stake, of the India-based coworking giant at Rs.697.55 apiece to rake in the amount.

The stake sale was executed by the US-based coworking giant, via its affiliate 1 Ariel Way Tenant Limited, at a discount of 1.4% to the stock's last closing price on Friday.

The shares that flooded the market were lapped up by Motilal Oswal Asset Management Company, Citigroup, HDFC Standard Life Insurance Company, Motilal Oswal Mutual Fund and ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund (MF).
