India, May 14 -- Agritech startup Unnati Agri's cofounder Ashok Prasad passed away on Monday (May 11) due to a sudden cardiac arrest.

He was deeply involved in strengthening the company's growth, institutional capabilities, and long-term strategic direction, Unnati said in a statement.

Prasad cofounded Unnati in 2011, along with Amit Sinha.

"Ashok was far more than a cofounder to me. Over the last two decades, we shared not just a professional journey, but a deep friendship built on trust, resilience, and a common belief that technology can meaningfully transform Indian agriculture.
