India, Feb. 26 -- Ride-hailing major Uber has infused nearly Rs.3,000 Cr (around $330 Mn) into its Indian unit as competition in the market heats up.
The company's India arm, Uber India Systems, allotted 14.4 Mn equity shares at an issue price of Rs.2,022.85 each to raise Rs.2,921 Cr, according to filings with the Registrar of Companies.
The investment came from its parent, Uber B.V., in two tranches. It first invested Rs.200 Cr in November, followed by a Rs.2,721 Cr investment earlier in January.
