India, Feb. 27 -- Pet care marketplace Supertails suffered significant material losses after a fire at one of its storage facilities in Bengaluru destroyed all its inventory stored at the leased warehouse.

In a blog post, Supertails said that the fire started at a perfume warehouse located in the same facility as its own warehouse. As the fire spread, it engulfed three warehouses, including the one owned by Supertails.

The startup said that all its employees working at the warehouse were completely safe.

The incident took place on February 22 in the middle of Supertails' flagship WTF Sale. Due to the uncertainty, the startup decided to cancel the sale a day after it recorded "the highest ever revenue in its five-year journey".
