India, Sept. 30 -- Electric two-wheeler (E2W) manufacturer Simple Energy has raised $180 Mn (Rs.1,750 Cr) in its Series C funding round. The round was led by Dr. Arokiaswamy Velumani Family Office and saw participation from the Haran Family Office, and angel investor Amit Mishra. Simple Energy's founder and CEO Suhas Rajkumar and cofounder and CFO Ankit Gupta also participated in the equity funding round.

The Bengaluru-based startup intends to utilise the fresh capital to support its next phase of growth by fueling key functions like marketing, supply chain, R&D and hiring.
