India, Sept. 2 -- Bengaluru-based electric two-wheeler startup Simple Energy has launched its first family escooter, the Simple Wave, at an introductory starting price of Rs.1.10 Lakh (ex-showroom).

The lineup comprises six models across three variants: the Simple Wave S, Simple Wave, and Simple Wave+. All of them have different battery capacities, displays, and connected features.

The top-end Simple Wave+ comes with a 5 kWh battery pack, an IDC-certified range of 243 km, and a top speed of 90 kmph. It is powered by a 6.4 kW permanent magnet synchronous motor, which generates 179 Nm of wheel torque.

The other models come with battery capacities of 3.7 kWh, 2.7 kWh, and 2.2 kWh, offering IDC-certified ranges of 171 km, 132 km, and 110 k...
