Oracle To Lay Off Another 3,000 Employees In India: Report
India, Sept. 2 -- Big tech giant Oracle is preparing to lay off thousands of employees globally as part of a fresh round of job cuts. India too is reportedly expected to bear the brunt of the retrenchment exercise.
According to Times of India, the company plans to axe nearly 3,000 jobs in the country starting September 1. However, a separate Moneycontrol report claimed that the layoffs could begin in the middle of September.
It remains unclear which specific teams or functions would be targeted. If the fresh round of layoffs materialises, as much as 10% of Oracle's 30,000-strong Indian workforce would be eliminated.
