India, Aug. 4 -- Alphabet-owned Google has picked 20 homegrown startups for the 2026 cohort of its "Google Play Accelerator India" programme.

This is the third cohort of the programme, which was introduced in 2024. The startups are picked from sectors like edtech, healthtech, gaming, agritech, fintech, ecommerce, media and entertainment.

The accelerator will offer a three-month, equity-free programme, and provide the selected startups with hands-on support across AI integration, app quality, security, growth, and monetisation.
