India, Sept. 9 -- Ecommerce major Meesho will restructure its product leadership team and discontinue the post of chief product officer (CPO), the company said in a regulatory filing with the exchanges today.

Following the move, current CPO Prasanna Arunachalam will no longer be designated as senior management personnel (SMP), although he will remain employed within the company. The apparent demotion is with effect from today (September 9).

After stints at Procter & Gamble, Vizury, and Cleartrip, Arunachalam joined Meesho in 2020 as a director of product management.
