IPO-Bound Acko's Insurance Arm Turns Profitable, Posts Rs.43.6 Cr Profit In FY26
India, May 11 -- IPO-bound insurtech unicorn Acko General Insurance turned profitable in FY26, posting a net profit of Rs.43.6 Cr in FY26 compared to a loss of Rs.193.4 Cr in FY25.
The insurer's net earned premium (NEP) rose 26% YoY to Rs.1,917.9 Cr in FY26 from Rs.1,522.3 Cr in the previous financial year, driven by growth in its insurance business.
Income from investments increased 23.2% YoY to Rs.265.1 Cr in FY26 from Rs.215.1 Cr in FY25. Within this, profit on sale/redemption of investments jumped 64.2% YoY to Rs.37.6 Cr in FY26 from Rs.22.9 Cr a year ago. Meanwhile, interest, dividend and rent income increased 18.3% YoY to Rs.227.5 Cr from Rs.192.3 Cr in FY25.
