India, Sept. 25 -- The Centre is considering an anchor investment of Rs.15,000 Cr to Rs.20,000 Cr in a proposed fund aimed at supporting frontier AI companies and expanding the country's compute infrastructure.

The proposed National Frontier AI & Compute Fund (NFAICF) could provide long-term risk capital to AI companies and finance GPU clusters, specialised data centres, and other infrastructure required to develop and deploy advanced AI models, ET reported, citing sources.
