India, Sept. 10 -- Global Fintech Fest 2026 Kicks Off

Indian startups basked in the spotlight as the Global Fintech Festival 2026 kicked off on a gala note yesterday. Be it the plethora of launches or top leaders making a beeline for the event, the first day was all about the aspirations and growth of the homegrown fintech ecosystem.

NPCI's Android ATMs: National Payments Corporation of India rolled out open-source Android ATMs, designed to act as digital banking units for rural hubs and corporate parks. To be piloted in partnership with nine lenders and manufacturers, these machines will streamline account openings, instant RuPay card issuance and merchant onboarding.
