India, July 9 -- Rural commerce startup Wheelocity has raised over Rs.82 Cr (about $8.5 Mn) in an ongoing funding round from new investors, existing backers, and a host of angel investors.

Overall, the startup has raised Rs.82.36 Cr across three tranches, as per its MCA filings. While it secured Rs.16.32 Cr from Lightspeed India Partners III LLC, LS Opportunities Access Fund LP, Grand Anicut Fund 3 and Magnum LLC, it raised Rs.11.05 Cr from VML Karthikeyan, Lakshmi Narayanan Senthilnathan, V.M. Lakshminarayanan, L. Gurusami and Unimix LLC in March via two separate transactions.

The latest tranche in June brought in Rs.54.99 Cr from EE-FI (Elevar Equity) AIF, represented by its trustee Vistra ITCL (India) Limited.
