India, Oct. 26 -- Fintech startup axiTrust is in talks to raise around $5 Mn in fresh capital in its Series A funding round, people aware of the matter told Inc42 on the condition of anonymity.

The fresh round is likely to be led by Singapore based Argor.vc, and will see participation from axiTrust's existing investor General Catalyst.

Questions sent to axiTrust didn't elicit any response at the time of publishing the story.

The fresh round has come almost a year after the startup raised $2.6 Mn in its seed funding round led by General Catalyst. Other investors including Atrium Angels, YAN Network and Supermorpheous are also on the fintech startup's cap table.
