India, Aug. 12 -- AI health companion startup August AI is in talks to raise about $4 Mn from Peak XV Partners, sources told Inc42.

The contours of the proposed transaction, including the startup's valuation and the participation of other investors, could not be ascertained. The discussions are ongoing and the terms of the deal may change, the sources added.

August AI founder Anuruddh Mishra and Peak XV did not respond to Inc42's queries until the time of publication, while existing investor Accel declined to comment.

The development comes about 10 months after August AI raised $3 Mn (around Rs.27 Cr) in a seed funding round from Accel and Claypond Capital, the family office of Manipal Group chairman Ranjan Pai.
