India, June 2 -- Internet service provider (ISP) Excitel said it turned profitable in the financial year ended March 2026 (FY26).

In a statement, the company said that it minted a profit after tax of Rs.40 Cr during the year as it recalibrated its geographic reach and go-to-market strategies. It had reported a net loss of Rs.70 Cr in FY25.

The positive bottom line came despite the top line remaining largely flat during the fiscal year under review. According to the company, its operating revenue stood at Rs.530 Cr in FY26 compared to Rs.516 Cr in the previous fiscal year. However, what helped Excitel was improving margins as its EBITDA rose 2.5X YoY to Rs.75 Cr during the fiscal under review.
