India, Sept. 25 -- Ecommerce giant Amazon India reportedly plans to invest $3 Bn (Rs.28,790 Cr) to expand its quick commerce business, Amazon Now, over the course of next four years.

Sources told Reuters that the ecommerce giant will invest $1 Bn in the vertical by the 2027-end, and an additional $2 Bn by 2030.

According to the report, Amazon plans to utilise the fresh proceeds to add new dark stores, strengthen inventory management software at stores, deploy AI tools for demand prediction and expand product mix. The focus will be on stocking daily essentials rather than iPhones, added a source.
