PATNA, April 21 -- A 21-year-old youth was allegedly killed in celebratory firing during a friend's pre-wedding ceremony in Nalanda's Bind police station area on Sunday night. The victim, Chhotu alias Golu Kumar, was shot during the tilak ceremony of his friend Mantu Kumar Raut at Amawan village, the police added. Chhotu's family, however, claimed that he was deliberately killed and his cousin has filed a complaint against two persons using guns at the ceremony. According to Chhotu's family, he worked in Delhi as a labourer and was himself about to get married, with his tilak scheduled for Monday (April 20) and his wedding on April 27. According to the police, Golu had gone to his friend's tilak ceremony with his cousin. Villagers said that some people started firing in the air as soon as the girls' dance began. "During this, while loading a bullet into a firearm, the trigger of a gun was accidentally pressed and a bullet hit Chhotu in the stomach," a villager said....
