AURANGABAD, June 25 -- A woman allegedly died by suicide with her two girl children by jumping into a deep pit near Arthua Bigha village under Kasma police station of Aurangabad district, police said on Wednesday. The bodies of the woman aged 30 years and her two daughters, aged 3 and 4, were fished out from a 30-feet deep pit near Arthua Engineering College on Wednesday, police added. Deceased's mother-in-law said that her son, a labourer, was married to her daughter, some 10 years back. The poor couple, living in a hut, frequently quarrelled on fulfilment of basic needs. The woman and children were not found at home when the family woke up in the morning. During a search, their bodies were found in the pit about 100 metres from their home and police were informed. Kasma SHO Akshaiwar Singh arrived at the scene but family and locals did not allow police to lift the body. They were demanding action against the contractor, compensation to the family and the pit be filled. The body was sent for post-mortem to Sadar Hospital, Aurangabad after assurance by Kasma circle officer Bhartendu Singh. The SHO added the woman's husband was away for work at the time of the incident. A heated exchange had taken place between the couple over the phone on Tuesday night. Local MLA Pramod Kumar Singh visited the place and said a large pit had been created by extensive soil excavation along the banks of the Dhava river during the construction of the engineering college.
