patna, Oct. 9 -- The Economic Offence Unit (EOU) on Thursday recovered approximately Rs.52 lakh in cash, jewellery worth Rs.35 lakh, and property documents related to assets valued at around Rs.2 crore from premises linked to Narad Kumar Das, an Executive Engineer in the Planning and Development Department (PDD). Das, a native of Bhagalpur district's Tilka Manjhi area, is currently posted in Munger. The EOU team carried out simultaneous searches at five locations including Patna, Muzaffarpur, Bhagalpur and Munger in connection with a disproportionate assets case registered against Das under Section 13(2) and 13(1)(b) of the Prevention of Corruption Act. The locations include Das's residences in Bhagalpur and Patna, a flat in Muzaffarpur, and a location in Munger, along with the government office of the Local Area Engineering Organization, Works Division in Munger.
