Jamshedpur, Aug. 26 -- The special investigation team (SIT) consisting police officials of Seraikela-Kharsawan and East Singhbhum districts has picked up at least two shooters from West Bengal border, who allegedly killed 33-yr-old Jamshedpur hotelier Nikhar Sablok at the 10th Milestone Resort on NH-33, pumping 12 bullets into him in a daring shootout around 3.30 PM under Chandil police station of Jharkhand's Seraikela-Kharsawan district on Monday, police said on Tuesday. "A few persons have been detained and they are being interrogated but no arrest has been made yet in the murder of Nikhar Sablok at the resort in Asanboni-Kanderbera area under Chandil PS on Monday. An FIR has been registered against unknown assailants. Further investigation is ongoing and hopefully the case will be cracked shortly," Manoj Swargiyari, Seraikela-Kharsawan SP, told HT on Tuesday. The 18-member SIT headed by Chandil SDPO Sheo Prakash Kumar has reportedly picked up two suspected shooters, identified in the CCTV footage, from Baheragora when they were trying to flee to other states .
