Two district courts of Seemanchal receive bomb threat via email
PURNEA/KISHANGANJ, April 14 -- Security officials were on their toes after a fresh email threat to blow up the civil courts of two Bihar's Seemanchal districts - Purnea and Kishanganj on Monday. Soon after the threats were received, police swung into action and launched a search of the court premises and visitors' entry was immediately restricted. A dog squad was pressed into service and the court premises were evacuated. However, no objectionable items were found, police said.
The fresh threats were received three days after an email threat to blow up Bihar Assembly was received on Friday.
Kishanganj deputy superintendent of police Ashok Kumar said, "We have started investigating it and trying to find out the origin of the message." He said, "Soon after the threat message, security arrangements have been enhanced." In Purnea civil court a similar threat was received and security agencies launched massive checks as every room was searched through dog squad and bomb disposal squad teams.
"At the gate, everyone is being properly frisked and people other than lawyers and clients are being asked to leave the courtrooms," police in Purnea said, appealing to lawyers to cooperate with security agencies while carrying out a probe. "We'll take stringent action against the culprits," police said....
