two cousins stabbed to death over land dispute in nawada district
PATNA, May 26 -- Two cousins were stabbed to death while three others were injured following a violent clash between two groups over a past rivalry -- said to be a land related issue -- in Bihar's Nawada district on Monday, police said.
The incident took place in Chhoti Pali village falling under Narhat police station area. The deceased have been identified as Mohammad Kashif (22) and Mohammad Ahmed (21).
The reason of clash, according to people aware the details, was an old dispute over some land-related matter and both the parties had a violent scuffle in November as well. Mohammad Danish, the cousin of one of the deceased (Kashif), said that because of November fight, FIRs were fled against people from both the sides.
One of the named accused named Mohammad Fahim whose bail petition was opposed by the other party had to go to jail.
"Today, the family members of Fahim attacked the house of the deceased and then the opposite side went to attack them. The clash worsened between the two parties and Kashif and Ahmed succumbed to stabbing wounds," said Danish.
Nawada SP Abhinav Dhiman said that the police was after the accused and investigating the case thoroughly.
CCTV footage from the area also being examined to establish the sequence of events, the SP said....
