trouble mounts for khan sir as name included in 'firing' f.i.r.
PATNA, June 6 -- Trouble mounted for Faisal Khan alias Khan Sir, owner of the Khan Global Studies (KGS), on Friday after an FIR was lodged with Kadamkuan police station against him under BNS sections of attempt to murder and Arms Act.
There were reports that the Patna police was gearing up to arrest him as a heavy deployment was made around his coaching centre in Patna.
His two guards were arrested on Thursday on charge of firing at the gate of his institute located at Mussalahpur Hatt area under Kadamkuan police station on June 2 night.
Faisal Khan's name was added in the FIR after his guards allegedly told the police that they had fired on the direction of Khan. After his name was added in the FIR, the senior police officials held a meeting at the IG office and made a strategy for further course of action against Khan. The district investigation unit (DIU) has been entrusted with the task of arresting him.
Police said that misleading information was allegedly given about the firing. "The FIR was lodged on the basis of statement of assistant sub-inspector Anil Kumar posted at the Kadamkuan police station against Faisal Khan under Section 109 of the BNS and 25/27 and 35 of the Arms Act. His name was added in the FIR after his two guards during interrogation told the police that he instructed them to fire and he would handle the rest. The guards admitted that they had fired two rounds each," said a police official.
Finding the situation going out of control, Khan left his institute on Friday noon to prevent his arrest.
Khan, later issued a video statement saying that his guards had fired in self-defence. "There was a fight going on. I knew that the police would take time to arrive. So, we fired in self-defence," he said in his statement.
Khan allegedly also provoked students that if his coaching institute closes, all coaching institutes will raise their fees, said a police officer.
According to a press release issued by the Office of the City Superintendent of Police (Central), Patna, the incident occurred on the night of June 2 at approximately 10:10pm. A group of individuals reportedly engaged in stone-pelting and vandalism at the Khan Global Studies coaching centre.

The police confirmed that the weapons used in the incident have been seized and forwarded to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for examination.
Patna police issued a press release and appealed to the students that they should not be misled by the coaching institute as there will be no compromise on law and order.
On June 3, a massive crowd of students gathered outside Khan Sir's coaching institute near Musallahpur Haat in Patna, a day after firing was reported outside the premises, which led to a heavy deployment of security forces in the area.
On September 10, 2021, Faisal Khan had lodged a case (case no-460/21) with Kadamkuan police station against Roshan Anand, his brother and 20 unknown persons in connection with the assault.
