RANCHI, March 21 -- The district administration and police rolled out an extensive security and traffic blueprint for Saturday as the city prepares for the simultaneous celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr and the tribal festival, Sarhul.
To ensure communal harmony and public safety, a massive deployment of police personnel and magistrates has been stationed at sensitive locations, major mosques, Idgahs, and prominent Sarna sites, including Hatma and Siramtoli.
The administration is leveraging high-tech surveillance, utilizing a network of CCTV cameras and drones to monitor processions in real-time. Additionally, a specialized social media cell is active to curb the spread of rumors, while Quick Reaction Teams (QRT) and anti-riot units remain on standby at the district control room.
A strict traffic plan is in effect to manage the expected surge in crowds. Heavy vehicles are prohibited from entering city limits between 6AM and 12.30AM. Key arterial roads, including the Harmu Bypass (Kishoreganj to Ratu Road) and stretches of Main Road, will face closures or restricted movement during prayer times and Sarhul processions. Commuters are advised to avoid Plaza Chowk, Lalpur, and Upper Bazaar as diversions guide festive rallies toward the Siramtoli Sarna Sthal.
