singer maithili thakur in poll race as BJP rolls out 101 names
PATNA, Oct. 16 -- The BJP on Wednesday released its second and third lists of 12 and 18 candidates for the upcoming Bihar Assembly polls. Singer Maithili Thakur, who joined BJP on Monday, has been given ticket from Alinagar seat and former IPS officer Anand Mishra from Buxar.
With this, the BJP has announced names of a total of 101 candidates for the assembly polls so far. The BJP released the first list of 71 candidates for the elections on Tuesday.
Mishra had recently joined the BJP switching from the Jan Suraaj. Aliganar seat was represented by Mishri Lal Yadav, who had won on VIP ticket and later joined the BJP. Yadav recently resigned from the BJP. VIP was part of the NDA in 2020 assembly polls.
Two sitting MLAs, Barh and Chapra, have been denied tickets, while two MLAs have been retaine. A RJD turncoat MLA, Kedarnath Singh would contest from Baniapur.
According to the list, Ram Chandra Prasad will contest from Hayaghat seat, while Chhoti Kumari and Rakesh Ojha from Chhapra and Shahpur, respectively....
