Saran MP rudy seeks CID probe into alleged rape-murder of minor student
PATNA, March 18 -- ran MP and former union minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy on Tuesday demand for a CID probe into the suspicious death of a 16-year-old student of Saran, which body recovered from a well on March 11.
Rudy has spoken to the deputy chief minister and home minister Samrat Chaudhary over the phone and urged him to hand over the case to the Crime Investigation Department (CID).
The family members had alleged murder after the gang rape, after which the police registered an FIR, started investigation and caught one of the suspect said to be befriended with the victim.
However, the police, based on the post-mortem report and available evidence, termed it a suicide and ruled out the suspicion of rape. Since then, questions have been raised on the police investigation.
After the post-mortem report came out on March 14, different organisations and social media questioned the impartiality of the police investigation.
In view of these circumstances, MP Rajiv Pratap Rudy had written a letter to the deputy chief minister-cum-home minister requesting a CID inquiry, saying It is necessary to remove the doubts arising among the society.
The BJP MP from Saran said he taking the matter seriously since the beginning of the incident and have been in constant touch with top brass....
