Samrat reviews preparation for 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan'
PATNA, Sept. 13 -- A series of public outreach and development programmes under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan will be organised across the state from September 17 to October 17 to promote citizen participation in service, social commitment and awareness about welfare schemes, while a parallel Seva Sankalp and Karya Kalp Abhiyan running till March 31 next year will focus on upgrading existing public assets and building new infrastructure at the grassroots.
Chief minister Samrat Choudhary was briefed about the detailed schedule of events at a high-level review meeting also attended by deputy chief ministers and the council of his ministers at a review meeting held here on Saturday, officials said. The chief secretary and executive heads of other departments were present during the meeting held at the Samvad hall in the chief minister's secretariat.
Under the month-long campaign, 13 themed programmes will highlight public service and the transformation brought by development works of Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his 25 years of public life. These include celebrations under "Ashirwad ka Diya" on September 17, which is PM Modi's birthday, at every administrative level to ensure maximum participation, week-long art and speech competitions in schools from September 25 to October 1, music and street plays recalling welfare schemes and a three-day event at Anganwadi centres to honour workers and engage children....
