Samrat grants Rs.150cr to 7,136 to launch startups
PATNA, Oct. 9 -- Chief minister Samrat Chaudhary on Thursday transferred Rs.150 crore to 7,136 aspiring entrepreneurs as part of the Bihar MSME Policy 2026 under the Mukhyamantri Udyami Yojana.
Speaking during a one-day orientation and disbursement programme held at the Bapu Sabhaghar after disbursing the first instalment of Rs.2 lakh each directly into their bank accounts to kick-start their startups and business projects, Choudhary said that the state has a target of making one crore entrepreneurs to transform the state economy.
The CM also laid down the state's plan to encourage local entrepreneurs by providing not just financial assistance but also a market for their produce, which would change the picture of Bihar's economy and industry by the 2030 assembly elections.
