Rs.80 lakh stolen in two incidents in Patna distt
PATNA, April 1 -- Unidentified miscreants took away cash and valuables worth Rs.80 lakh in two separate incidents in Patna City and Danpur on Tuesday.
In the first incident, the criminals broke into the house of businessman Kriti Saurabh and stole jewellery worth Rs.50 lakh and Rs.6.5 lakh in cash from his house near Alok petrol pump under Bypass police station.
The incident had taken place when the family members had gone to Jagarnathpuri in Odhisa. Police said that the incident came to light on Tuesday morning after Kriti Saurabh along with his family returned to Patna in which they found that the locks of the main gate and four rooms were broken and valuable jewellery was missing.
"The thieves had stolen jewellery worth around Rs.50 lakh and Rs.4 lakh in cash kept in the cupboard of his sister-in-law's room, and other jewellery from Kriti Saurabh's room," said the police.
