"In connection with the firing incident outside the coaching institute of educator Khan sir, three people have been arrested and remanded to judicial custody. Among those arrested is the director of a coaching institute. Currently, the police are actively investigating the entire incident and the potential involvement of other suspects. Further arrests in this case are also possible," police said through a press statement.
The arrest followed an FIR lodged with Kadamkuan police station on the basis of statement of Kanhaiya Kumar against director of Gyan Bindu coaching institute Roshan Anand, Prince Gaurav and Abhishek and 15 to 20 unknown persons.
Police said the arrests were made based on evidence gathered during the probe and the interrogation of suspects linked to the case. Authorities said the findings pointed to the involvement of multiple individuals, following which coordinated action was taken.
Officials said the entire conspiracy behind the incident was thoroughly investigated, the underlying motives and the potential involvement of other suspects.
Shots were fired outside the coaching institute on Tuesday night, in which a security guard sustained injuries and was admitted to the hospital. Police, however denied any firing during the incident, claiming he was injured in brick bating.
A large number of angry students gathered outside the coaching centre and raised slogans, demanding justice and security following the attack. They demanded arrest of persons involved in the incident.
Patna SSP, K Sharma said police were recording statements and conducting an investigation. "It was a case physical assault in which a guard was injured. He is undergoing treatment. Further action is being taken after recording statements from the victim and local residents," he said.
SP City Diksha said it seemed that some coaching persons were involved in the incident. "All video footage is being thoroughly examined. So far, 10 to 12 persons have been identified in the incident," she said.
JD(U) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha on Wednesday said the assailants would be caught and "strict action would be taken" against them in the current NDA government led by CM Samrat Choudhary.

Khan said classes were underway when the incident occurred and claimed the attackers vandalised property and assaulted the security guard.
"We were inside the chamber while teachers were taking classes. The guard said he could not understand what was happening. There was so much beating and destruction," he said and demanded strict action....
