Haridwar, Oct. 10 -- A man from Rajasthan was arrested by a joint team of Army Intelligence and Roorkee police for allegedly impersonating an Indian Army jawan and illegally entering the Roorkee Army Cantonment, officers aware of the matter said on Thursday. The accused, Surendra Kumar (28), from Rajasthan's Jhunjhunu district, was arrested late on Wednesday from the MES gate of the cantonment, said police. A case was registered against him on Thursday at Roorkee police station under sections 168 (impersonation of military personnel), 418 (cheating) and other relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), they added.
