PATNA, March 16 -- Patna police seized a consignment of brown sugar and heroin, estimated to be worth Rs.7.5 crore from Mustafapur village under Khagaul police on Sunday. The police also arrested gang leader Kallu Paswan. Patna SSP Kartikeya Sharma said that the police acted on a tip-off that one Kallu Paswan, a gang leader, was involved in supply of brown sugar to Patna. "During the investigation, information was obtained about Kallu Paswan, a resident of Mustafapur. Then, his house was cordoned off and searched in the presence of a magistrate. The police seized 4.86 kg of heroin and brown sugar. The drugs were hidden in plastic bags inside the house," he added.
