PATNA, July 14 -- Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor has declared gross assets worth over Rs.105 crore and liabilities of Rs.5.78 crore. His wife Jahanvi Das's disclosed assets are around Rs.112 crore with liabilities of Rs.55.38 lakh, according to the affidavit filed with his nomination papers for the Bankipur Assembly by-election on Monday. The affidavit shows that Prashant Kishor owns movable assets worth Rs.22.20 crore, while his wife's declared movable assets is Rs.99.52 crore. Their son, Daibik Bharadwaj, has movable assets worth Rs.7.19 lakh. Kishor has declared the purchase value of his self-acquired immovable properties at Rs.23.71 crore, with their current market value estimated at Rs.59.25 crore. He has also declared inherited immovable assets with an estimated market value of Rs.14.62 crore. His spouse's self-acquired immovable properties, purchased for Rs.1 crore, has an estimated current market value of Rs.4.22 crore, besides inherited immovable assets valued at Rs.8.20 crore. Kishore has residential buildings, including apartments, in Patna's Patliputra Colony, Vasant Vihar, Indirapuram in Ghaziabad (UP), Sector 5 Vasundhara in Ghaziabad, residential property in Buxar and ancestral property at Konar village in Rohtas. Kishor also has investments in equity shares worth Rs.63.44 lakh (approx) as on July 10. The affidavit states Kishor has outstanding loans of Rs.5.78 crore from banks and financial institutions, while his wife has liabilities of Rs.55.38 lakh. Neither declared any government dues or disputed liabilities. For financial year 2024-25, Kishor has declared a total income of Rs.58.45 lakh, while his spouse has reported an income of Rs.40.24 lakh, according to their latest income tax returns. Kishore has declared having a 100% controlling stake in Vedhas Ventures Private Limited. He paid total income tax of Rs.4.45 crore from financial year 2020-21 to 2024-25 and GST of Rs.5.58 crore from 2021-22 to 2025-26, his affidavit said.
