Patna: body of Class 4 girl found wrapped in blanket
PATNA, April 24 -- A 10-year-old girl, a student of Class 4, was found dead with multiple injuries marks on her body wrapped in a blanket near Begumpur Sati Chowra under bypass police station area on Thursday morning. She was missing since Wednesday morning after she left her house in school uniform.
Agitated over the incident, a large number of angry people came down to the streets and blocked Guru Gobind Singh path for a few hours and demanded arrest of the criminals involved in the incident. Prima facie, it appeared that she was brutally beaten to death as the body bore signs of severe injuries marks, said the police officers.
The girl's father said that he was at Methapur when her daughter had gone missing on Wednesday. "She had gone to deliver milk nearby and was ready to go to school afterwards. However, she neither went to school nor returned home. The delay caused concern among her family members and they immediately informed the police and filed a report," he added.
He said, "When we failed to trace the daughter, we went to the bypass police station at around 9pm and reported the matter. I along with police searched everywhere but couldn't find her. On Thursday morning, her body was found around 200 meter away from our house after a boy saw the body wrapped in a blanket," said the father....
