No compromise with crime and infiltration: Samrat Choudhary
ARARIA, July 8 -- In his first visit to Seemanchal as chief minister, Samrat Choudhary on Tuesday, reiterated his government's firm stand against crime and infiltration.
Addressing a gathering at a high school ground at Haripur Panchayat in Forbesganj, Choudhary said his government would never compromise with crime and infiltration. "We are committed to rooting out criminals and infiltrators from Bihar," he said.
Giving relaxation in toll tax to private vehicles plying on state highways, the CM said, "Private vehicles will be exempted from toll tax on state highways while commercial vehicles will have to pay."
During his address some people raised the issue of a meat factory at Forbesganj and demanded its closure.
"We have directed the DM to look into it and if it is found illegally run or if it violates the pollution rules, appropriate action will be taken," the CM said.
Earlier local MP Pradeep Kumar Singh also raised this issue, alleging it was causing pollution in the area.
The CM also participated in 'Sahyog Shivir', an initiative of the government focusing on 'Ease of Living' by delivering services directly to citizens' doorstep.
During the event, the complaints regarding land reforms, ration cards and public grievances also came up.
Choudhary assured the people that his government would address their grievances promptly.
He said, "I have come here to get you out of trouble and so far disposal of most applications out of 4, 53, 000 have been done."...
