PATNA, May 23 -- In a routine administrative reshuffle, the state government on Friday appointed a 1992-batch IAS officer Deepak Kumar Singh, currently director general-cum-chief enquiry commissioner, general administrative department (GAD), as new principal secretary to the Governor.
According to a notification issued by the GAD, Singh, will, however, continue to hold the additional charge of the chief enquiry commissioner.
Arvind Kumar Choudhary, a 1995-batch IAS officer currently serving as additional chief secretary in the cabinet secretariat, has been relieved of the additional charge of the home department. The notification did not specify any new assignment for him beyond his existing role.
Kundan Kumar, a 2004-batch IAS, who is currently secretary in the industries department, has been given additional charge of the home department in place of Choudhary.
Meanwhile, Sanjay Kumar Singh (2007-batch IAS), secretary in the finance department, has been entrusted with the additional responsibility of vigilance commissioner in the GAD. The notification further stated that Seema Tripathi (2009-batch IAS), secretary of the Bihar human rights commission, will now also hold additional charge as secretary of the revenue and land reforms department.
In another appointment, Rajeev Kumar Srivastava (2013-batch IAS) has been posted as additional secretary in the finance department. Gopal Meena, who was secretary to the governor, has been relieved for his central deputation....
