Bijnor, April 24 -- A 50-year-old man was allegedly shot dead by his nephew over a land dispute in a village in Uttar Pradesh's Bijnor district on Thursday evening, police said. Bijnor Circle Officer Sangram Singh said the alleged incident took place in the Dida Nangli village when Ishaq (50) and his nephew Shane Raja allegedly got into an argument over installing a tubewell in a field. "During the altercation, Shane Raja opened fire at Ishaq, critically injuring him," Singh said. The victim was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared him dead, the police said, adding that the body has been sent for post-mortem examination.
