India, Sept. 13 -- As celebrity maternity photography becomes more artistic, black-and-white portraits are having a moment. While the monochrome aesthetic is not new, actor-couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh's latest portraits have brought the trend back into focus. Photographer-filmmaker Avani Rai, who shot for them, tells us, "I chose black and white to bring the images closer to intimacy. The moment already held enough emotion; I wanted to strip everything and just let the moment and the feeling speak for themselves." Other than the couple, actor Randeep Hooda-entrepreneur Lin Laishram and actor Karishma Tanna-businessman Varun Bangera have also opted for black-and-white photographs recently during the pregnancy....
