Modi dedicates redeveloped bhagalpur rly stn to nation
PATNA, July 18 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday also dedicated Shivnarayanpur Railway Station in Bihar's Bhagalpur to the nation along with others on Friday.
On the occasion, chief minister Samrat Choudhary, also joined the event through video-conferencing to witness the historic inauguration of the redeveloped Shivnarayanpur Railway Station.
Strategically located near the National Highway-80 and in proximity to the historic Vikramshila Mahavihara, the redeveloped station represents a harmonious blend of modern infrastructure with the rich cultural heritage of Bihar. Designed as a contemporary transport hub, the station combines enhanced passenger amenities with artistic elements inspired by the region's traditions, creating a welcoming gateway that reflects both heritage and progress.
The redevelopment of Shivnarayanpur Railway Station is expected to significantly improve passenger comfort, accessibility and safety while promoting regional connectivity, tourism, local trade, agriculture and overall socio-economic development. It also reflects the Government of India's commitment towards creating modern, sustainable and future-ready railway infrastructure under the vision of Viksit Bharat.
The Shivnarayanpur Railway Station has been redeveloped under Phase-I of the ABSS at a sanctioned cost of Rs.17.94 crore. The redevelopment has transformed the station into a modern, accessible and passenger friendly while celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Bihar....
