man shot dead over dispute on boundary wall in Samastipur
SAMASTIPUR, May 30 -- A 30-year-old man was allegedly shot dead by his cousin following a dispute over a boundary wall in Bihar's Samastipur district on Friday morning, police said.
Police said the victim Suraj Kumar who worked in the shuttering business in Kolkata, had returned home three days ago.
Sadar DSP Sanjay Kumar Pandey, the accused Ganesh Kumar allegedly entered Suraj's house and opened fire at him. Suraj sustained three bullet injuries and was rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead. "Family members told police that Ganesh had asked Suraj to remove a boundary wall, while Suraj sought some time," he said.
Police said that Ganesh allegedly began demolishing the wall on Friday morning. When Suraj came out to see what was happening, Ganesh allegedly fired three rounds at close range before fleeing the spot....
